Former 2x TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young will make his Slammasters debut on Sunday October 20th!
Eric Young first wrestled in the early days of the promotion as a member of “Team Canada” in 2004. He has early success capturing the NWA Tag Team Championships with Bobby Roode.
Eric Young showed his ability to portray different characters, with a more paranoid version of himself coinciding with TNA’s debut on Spike TV in 2005 and the “Super Eric” character in 2008. After a mini feud with Relik (“that’s killer spelty backwards”) and Black Reign (Dustin Runnels) he’d join AJ Styles & Samoa Joe’s “TNA Front Line” in their battle against The Main Event Mafia. He’d also capture the TNA X Division Championship this year.
In 2013 he defeated Magnus (Nick Aldis) to win the TNA Heavyweight Championship for the first time!
He joined WWE as part of the NXT brand in 2016, forming the popular stable “Sanity” and haing won the Tag Team Championship, debuted on Smackdown in 2018.
He rejoined TNA (then called Impact Wrestling) in July 2020 and defeated Eddie Edwards to win the Impact World Championship for the second time in September that year.
